What should you check before switching an ISP
Suppose you have decided to switch to a different ISP. In that case, we recommend doing some homework and asking some questions before the switch.
With the current ISP (the one that you want to leave), you might want to ask:
1) Am I in a contract with you?
If I leave to a different ISP, do I need to pay any fine (or how much will I pay if I leave you)?
2) What am I getting from you at the moment (services, equipment, etc)?
Do I get internet from you? what speed am I getting from you
Do I get TV services from you?
Do I get a landline phone from you?
Would I need to return the modem/router/wifi back to you?
What else do I get from you (streaming services, cable boxes, etc)?

Questions for the new ISP:
1) What would I get from you?
What's the internet speed?
What equipment would I get from you (if any)?
What equipment would I need to purchase by myself?
Will I be in a contract with you?
What's the price now, and what (and when) will the price change?
If possible, we recommend getting the new ISP, waiting a few days (to see if everything works well with the new ISP), and only then disconnecting the old ISP.
If you still have questions or are unsure about the change, you're welcome to contact us for a free consultation!
*AT&T runs internet over fiber in some parts of Santa Cruz/the bay area. AT&T fiber is usually better and cheaper than most ISPs, and many of our customers are very happy with it!
You might want to check if AT&T has fiber in your specific address. You can check it online at:AT&T Fiber - Fastest Internet. Straightforward Price. | AT&T Internet (att.com)
** we are not affiliated in any way with AT&T. The recommendation above is based purely on our customers' positive experience
